CommonWealth and eSentire Discuss Cybersecurity

Jun 23, 2015

CommonWealth Fund Services Ltd. and eSentire Inc., a leader in managed cybersecurity services, collaborated on an informational session discussing the hot topic all investment firms are grappling with. Gathering in CommonWealth’s Toronto office were a select group of investment fund professionals for an afternoon of roundtable discussion and a presentation on best practices.

eSentire has been in the business of protecting clients from advanced targeted attacks since 2001. Pioneering Continuous Advanced Threat Protection, which leading analyst firm Gartner research has coined as a best practices framework, eSentire defends against the types of advanced threats that repeatedly drive today’s headlines.

As a fund administrator, CommonWealth interfaces with fund managers, investors, advisors, prime brokers, and other intermediaries, and as such plays a pivotal role in ensuring sound cybersecurity procedures for their clients.

“Without a doubt, cybersecurity has been the hot topic in the industry so far in 2015. Events like this provide our clients a unique opportunity to discuss their business needs with industry experts and fellow fund managers, developing and taking action on best practices,” commented Jodi Lum, Head of Client Relations at CommonWealth.
