9th Annual Canadian Hedge Fund Awards

Oct 24, 2016

Every fall the Canadian Hedge Fund Awards and Conference brings together the best of the best in the Hedge Fund industry in Canada. The awards includes Managers, lawyers, administrators, prime brokers and accountants.

We are thrilled to see so many of our clients nominated in various categories this year, and celebrated with the following winners:

  • McLean Asset Management ROMC Fund: 1st Place Best 5 Year Return and 3rd Place Best 5 Year Sharpe Ratio, Equity Focused
  • Goodwood Milford Fund: 2nd Place Best 5 Year Sharpe Ratio, Equity Focused
  • Waratah Advisors Energy Fund: 2nd Place Best 1 Year Return, Market Neutral
  • EdgeHill Guardian Fund: 3rd Place Best 1 Year Returns, Market Neutral
  • Fiera Capital Income Opportunities Fund: 2nd Place Best 1 Year Return, Credit Focused

While we did not defend our title of Best Administrator, we were ecstatic with the results as far as a reflection of our clients’ level of satisfaction. Where winning is determined by total number of votes, we knew it would be difficult to win again against our bigger competitors. But with 85% of our funds casting their vote for us as Best Administrator this year, we know we have your support and that is what counts the most! These are results we can be proud of.

Additionally, we had the thrill of witnessing our very own Managing director, Mackenzie Crawford, present the awards for the Market Neutral Category.
